Chrysler to Recall More Than 250,000 Trucks and SUV’s

Chrysler is being forced to recall over 250,000 of their pickup trucks and SUV’s. The reason these vehicles is being recalled is because the rear differential could end up failing. Obviously this can cause problems for the driver. A driver can end up losing control of the vehicle and get involved into an accident. The Highway Traffic Administration announced the recall on their website this past Thursday.

Surprisingly, Chrysler had a recall on these products last fall. The recall involved the same problems, only this time; it involves 6 times more vehicles.

The new recall covers the 2009-12 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota as well as the 2009 Chrysler Aspen and Dodge Durango.

In the past, Chrysler recalled about 44,300 2009-10 Ram 1500 and Dodge Dakota vehicles. Chrysler began receiving many complaints and after further investigation has decided to recall these vehicles.

So far Chrysler has reported 15 accidents that involve this situation. They have not disclosed whether or not there were injuries in the accident.

The automaker said in its new report that it knew of 15 accidents, but the report was not clear about whether there were injuries.

If you have been involved in an accident due to a recall, it is necessary that you contact a recall attorney. A recall attorney will fight for you and make sure that you are compensated for the pain that has been brought upon you. Your compensation could include car replacement, payment for medical bills, paid time off work and more. But, you must act now.
