Multi-vehicle Collision in Chino Hills on 71 Freeway Kills Two People, Injures Five Others
CHINO HILLS, CA (June 13, 2019) – A collision involving multiple vehicles on the 71 Freeway Wednesday morning killed two people and injured five others in Chino Hills. The June 12 incident occurred in the freeway’s southbound lanes, close to Butterfield Ranch Road.
The time was roughly 8:15 a.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, six vehicles collided, one of which was a box truck that fell onto a car. Two people who had been occupants of a Honda Accord—both identified only as women—died in the collision, according to Joseph Corney. Corney is an officer with the California Highway Patrol. The identities of the women, including their names, ages, and cities of residence, have not been reported.
