Car Found Weeks After Being Stolen With Dead Dog InsideA man’s 2014 Honda Civic was stolen two weeks ago with his dog Miles inside. Wednesday, police located the stolen Civic with Miles deceased inside. Miles died from either starvation or dehydration, the police said.

The ordeal started when the man’s car was stolen from an Orange County Chevron gas station. The car was fund at a business complex at East Lincoln Ave. and North Glassell St.

Larry Burgoon, the vehicle and dog’s owner, offered a $1,000 reward to find Miles.

“I’m not worried about the vehicle,” Larry Burgoon said after the theft in an interview with NBC Los Angeles. “I’m worried about getting Miles back. The car, the contents of the car, they’re replaceable. Miles is not.”

In the surveillance video from the gas station, a white 2010 to 2012 Ford F-150 is seen pulling into the Chevron parking lot a few seconds behind the Honda. When Burgoon went inside the gas station, a woman acted as a lookout as one of the men got into the Honda and drove away.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
