Car crashes can often leave victims in critical states. When a vehicle collision takes place, personal injuries are inflicted and both parties are left dazed. It is vital that all drivers pay attention when out in the road in order to avoid any unwanted car crashes and accidents. On Sunday, September 30, one man became victim to a car accident and suffered major injuries.
At around 3:25 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon, an accident happened in Riverside County in the intersection of Rancho California and Yukon roads. The two cars involved in the accident were a 1997 Nissan Maxima and a 2012 GMC Acadia. The person driving the GMC Acadia was a female Temecula resident. She had been commuting eastbound on Rancho California and ran a red light in the intersection. It was then that she struck and broadsided the Nissan. The driver of the Nissan was a male and was immediately taken via ambulance to the Inland Valley Regional Medical Center. He had suffered from major injuries. His identity was not released right away.
The police officers investigated the scene and many witnesses joined the investigation. The road and intersection was closed for more than four hours while policemen and good Samaritans conducted the investigation. Anyone with information was encouraged to call a phone number to assist police officers.
It did not look as if alcohol or drugs were factors of the accident.
Because of the crash, three people were injured, one of them—the male driver of the Nissan—was in critical condition. One person was extricated from the sedan; firefighters took off the roof in order to free the victim. Patients were taken to nearby hospitals.
On Tuesday, October 2, it was announced that the male driver of the Nissan had passed away from his serious injuries. His identity was released. He was a 25-year old male from New York. He died at around 1 p.m.
This scenario is an example of how car accidents can drastically change the lives of everyone involved. What started out as a car accident involving major injuries has turned out to be a wrongful death accident. One driver’s negligence on the road and careless mistake of running the red light has cost one man his life.
If you have lost a loved one in a wrongful death accident, do not hesitate to call a car accident attorney today. Do not let the guilty party get away with their negligence, fight back today.
