CANOGA PARK, CA (August 2, 2018) – A collision involving an ambulance injured five people in the evening on Wednesday in Canoga Park. The accident occurred on Canoga Avenue in the 7200 block, close to Sherman Way at roughly 8:00 p.m.
The ambulance had been transporting a patient at the time it, and another vehicle, collided. The accident injured five people.
A spokeswoman from the Los Angeles Fire Department, Margaret Stewart, said an ambulance had been traveling with lights and siren on while it was transporting a patient. The ambulance and another vehicle collided where the streets intersect.
The injured people were described as the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision, the patient who was being taken by ambulance, and three firefighters. According to the report, all victims were taken to a hospital nearby. Their injuries were characterized as minor.
What caused the crash has not yet been reported.
