Multi-vehicle Collision on Pleasant Valley Road in Camarillo Kills Motorcyclist

CAMARILLO, CA (August 22, 2019) – A multi-vehicle collision in the morning on Wednesday in Camarillo killed a motorcyclist. The August 21 incident occurred on Pleasant Valley Road near Las Posas Street, and to the south of it.

The time was roughly 7:45 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Reports say the collision involved three vehicles—described as a sedan, a big rig, and a motorcycle. No details have been reported on where each vehicle had been traveling prior to colliding.

After the collision, the semi truck—which had been carrying cardboard—caught on fire.

Responders from the Ventura County Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire. They rescued one victim from the sedan, reports say.

The person who had been riding the motorcycle was killed in the crash. The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.

Responders transported one of the victims to a hospital. The person had suffered injuries that were described as moderate. The types of injuries the person suffered, and the current condition, is not known.

Reports do not say what vehicle the victim had been traveling in, and it is not known if the person was a passenger or a driver.

Another victim in the collision suffered injuries that were described as minor. The person was not taken to a hospital. The identity of the victim has not been reported, and it is not known which vehicle the person had been traveling in, nor whether the person was a driver or passenger.
