8 Injured In Crash on 5 Freeway In Burbank, Multiple Vehicles Involved
BURBANK, CA (May 9, 2022) – Late at night on Sunday in Burbank, a multi-vehicle crash on the 5 Freeway caused damage and injuries. The May 8 crash occurred on the southbound side of the freeway, close to where the exit for West Alameda Avenue is located.
The time was roughly 10:20 p.m., the California Highway Patrol’s Officer Kravig said.
No details have been reported on how the crash happened, how many vehicles were involved, nor the sequence that affected each vehicle.
None of the people involved in the crash have been identified, and the exact number of people involved is also not known.
According to the Burbank Fire Department, as many as eight people may have suffered injuries in the crash. The types of injuries suffered, and current condition of the patients, are not known.
Investigators are at work to understand why the crash happened, and what led to it.
