Buellton Crash on Highway 101 Near Jonata Park Road Injures Woman
BUELLTON, CA (December 21, 2020) – On Saturday afternoon in Buellton, a vehicle and a motorcycle collided on Highway 101, injuring a woman. The December 19 incident occurred on the northbound side of the roadway, close to Jonata Park Road.
The time was roughly a little after 12:00 p.m., the Santa Barbara County Fire Department said.
Reports say a vehicle–which has not been described–and a motorcycle collided. The manner in which the collision occurred has not been described.
Responders provided medical aid to the rider, and she was transported by airlift to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Her injuries were described as critical, according to Daniel Bertucelli, who is a captain with Santa Barbara County Fire.
She was identified only as in her 30s; her name and city of residence have not been reported.
The driver of the vehicle has also not been identified. It is not known from reports if the driver was hurt in the crash.
Investigators are working to understand what led to the collision. They are in the process of collecting details and information.
