Driver Heading the Wrong Way on Highway 54 in Bonita Crashes into Vehicle

BONITA, CA (November 19, 2019) – On Friday night, a driver who was heading the wrong way on Highway 54 in Bonita crashed into another vehicle. The November 15 incident occurred on the eastbound side of the highway, close to where Highway 125 is located.

The time was roughly a little after 8:00 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Reports say a vehicle—described as a Toyota Corolla—had been traveling the wrong way and struck another vehicle—described as a BMW. It is not known from reports if anyone was hurt in the incident.

The occupants of the BMW were described only as a mother, and child 8 years of age and another child under one year of age. The identity of the mother, including her name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.

The identity of the person who is suspected of driving the wrong way has not been reported, including name, age, gender, and city of residence.

Investigators are continuing their efforts to gather information and details regarding the crash.
