Baldwin Hills 2-Car Collision Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Injured

Fatal 2-Car Collision in Baldwin Hills Area
LOS ANGELES, CA (December 16, 2024) — A two-car collision at the intersection of Don Lorenzo Drive and Stocker Street in the Baldwin Hills area left one person dead and two others critically injured on Sunday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Emergency responders arrived at the scene around 4:09 p.m. to find two vehicles involved in the crash. Firefighters worked to extricate a man in his 50s who was trapped in one of the vehicles. Paramedics transported him, along with another individual, to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
One Person From The Crash On Do Lorenzo Drive Died In The Hospital
Investigators determined that the collision occurred when one vehicle traveling southbound on Don Lorenzo Drive attempted to turn eastbound onto Stocker Street. The turning car was struck by another vehicle traveling westbound.
Tragically, one person from the crash later died at the hospital, while at least one other victim is now reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities have not yet confirmed whether factors such as speeding, distracted driving, or impairment contributed to the crash. The LAPD Baldwin Hills District continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
