Woman Dies After Car Hits Her in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 26, 2019) – Tiffany Bronte Sanders died from injuries she suffered after a car hit her while she was standing in the road on Fruitvale Avenue in Bakersfield on Sunday. The June 23 incident occurred in front of a business called the Pour House Bar located in the 4000 block.
The time was roughly 1:46 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Reports say Sanders had been walking outside of the business establishment, and walked into the road of Fruitvale Avenue in the southbound lane. She had been standing in the road, in the middle of a lane, when a car hit her, according to reports.
Sanders suffered injuries that were described as major. Responders arrived and took her to Kern Medical. Sanders died from her injuries. She was 40 years old and a resident of Bakersfield.
The person who had been driving the vehicle has not been identified, including the person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence. The vehicle involved has not been described.
