Pedestrian Struck and Injured on Mt. Vernon Avenue in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 25, 2020) – Early in the evening on Sunday in Bakersfield, a pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle. The March 22 incident occurred on Mt. Vernon Avenue in the 2400 block.
The time was roughly 7:26p.m., Bakersfield Police said.
Reports say the vehicle had the right-of-way when the pedestrian was struck.
Responders arrived and took the victim to a hospital in the area. The person suffered injuries that are serious; his current condition is critical. The identity of the victim, including his name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
