Pregnant Driver Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident with Stolen Vehicle in San Jose
San Jose, CA (October 26, 2023) – A heart-wrenching hit-and-run incident claimed the life of April Zoglauer near the intersection of Blossom Hill Road and Winfield Boulevard, involving a collision with a stolen vehicle.
2 Men In A Stolen Hyundai Sedan Killed 21 Year Old April Zoglauer And Then Fled The Scene
San Jose police officers reported that the fatal hit-and-run transpired at approximately 8:42 p.m. on Tuesday. The circumstances leading to the incident remain unclear, but it involved two men in a stolen Hyundai sedan colliding with an eastbound Nissan while traveling southbound.
Following the collision, the occupants of the stolen Hyundai abandoned the scene. Paramedics arrived shortly afterward and rushed the Nissan driver, identified as April Zoglauer, a pregnant 21-year-old woman, to a local hospital. Unfortunately, April Zoglauer succumbed to her injuries. Medical personnel successfully delivered her child; however, the newborn remains in critical condition.
San Jose Police Are Seeking Assistance From Anyone Who May Have Seen Something
Currently, investigators are seeking the assistance of witnesses in locating the two men who fled the scene.
