2 Hurt in Semi-Truck Crash in Apple Valley
Apple Valley, CA (May 2, 2024) – A multi-vehicle accident on Thursday evening at the intersection of Dale Evans Parkway and Quarry Road resulted in injuries to two individuals. The incident, which occurred around 6:56 p.m., has prompted authorities to remind drivers about the importance of staying focused while on the road.
According to the Apple Valley Police Department, the crash was caused when a 33-year-old Victorville man failed to stop at a stop sign for reasons yet to be determined. This led to a Wal-Mart semi-truck losing control and colliding with a parked Nissan and an electrical pole before overturning.
48 Year Old Walmart Semi-Truck Driver Hospitalized In Crash
Emergency responders arrived promptly, and the 48-year-old semi-truck driver was transported to a hospital due to high blood pressure. The driver of the Toyota involved in the collision was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Fortunately, the owner of the parked Nissan, Scott Hood, was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
The collision also resulted in damage to several electrical poles, requiring assistance from Southern California Edison to rectify the situation.
