Apple Valley 2-Vehicle Crash Leaves 1 Person In Serious Need of Medical Assistance

One Airlifted Following Two-Vehicle Crash in Apple Valley
APPLE VALLEY, CA (January 12, 2025) — A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Corwin Road and Tao Road on Sunday afternoon left one person seriously injured, prompting an airlift to a trauma center.
The accident occurred around 4:40 p.m. on January 12, according to the Apple Valley Police Department. A gray Toyota Tacoma and a black GMC truck collided under circumstances that remain under investigation.
Toyota Tacoma Truck’s Front End Was Completely Smashed In
The Toyota Tacoma sustained significant front-end damage, while the GMC had damage to the right passenger tire area. Emergency responders from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District arrived at the scene and located one injured individual.
The patient was initially transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where they were transferred to a Reach 43 Helicopter and airlifted to a trauma center for further medical care.
2 Small Dogs Were Also Discovered At The Crash Site
Two small dogs were also discovered at the crash site. Their condition was not immediately clear.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision. Drivers are reminded to stay alert, avoid distractions, and follow traffic laws to help prevent accidents.
