1 Killed, 4 Injured in Head-On Accident in Apple Valley
Apple Valley, CA (May 12, 2024) – Tragedy struck on Mother’s Day afternoon as one person died and four others were injured in a head-on accident on Rock Springs Road. The fatal crash occurred around 3:11 p.m. on May 12, near Deep Creek Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a white Jeep Renegade Subcompact SUV collided head-on under circumstances yet to be determined. Upon arrival, Apple Valley Firefighters pronounced the Toyota driver dead at the scene.

As of the report, the identity, age, and city of residence of the victim were not disclosed. The four occupants in the Jeep sustained minor injuries in the collision.
The cause of the crash and other contributing factors remain under investigation by authorities.
