1 Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 18 in Apple Valley
Apple Valley, CA (May 25, 2024) – A tragic two-vehicle accident on Highway 18 resulted in the death of one person on Saturday morning, May 25. The collision occurred at approximately 6:57 a.m. at the intersection of Milpas Drive, according to the Apple Valley Fire Department.
The incident involved a silver Toyota Rav4 SUV traveling northbound on Milpas Drive. The SUV failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a white Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling eastbound on Highway 18. The impact caused the Dodge to overturn onto its roof, sustaining significant front-end damage. The Toyota suffered major damage to its driver’s side.
1 Person In The Toyota Was Pronounced Dead At The Scene and The Another Was Airlifted To Antelope Valley Medical Center
An occupant of the Toyota sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another occupant of the Toyota was airlifted to Antelope Valley Medical Center with unspecified injuries. The occupants of the Dodge truck sustained only minor injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
