Fontana Police Pursuit Crash Leaves 1 Injured
Fontana, CA (March 7, 2024) – Angel Vizcarra, 23, and his passenger sustained injuries after crashing their car into a tree during a police pursuit on Catawba Avenue at Merrill Avenue. The Fontana Police Department reported that the incident occurred on March 7 at approximately 9:22 p.m.
The pursuit began when a Fontana police officer observed a vehicle committing several traffic violations. The officer attempted to pull over the driver, later identified as Angel Vizcarra, but Vizcarra refused to stop, initiating a chase.
Angel Vizcarra and His Female Passenger Were Transported To a Nearby Hospital After The Crash
Angel Vizcarra led police north on Catawba Avenue until reaching Merrill Avenue, where the pursuit came to an abrupt end as the vehicle collided with a tree at a dead end.
Both Angel Vizcarra and his female passenger sustained leg injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics arrived shortly after the incident and transported both individuals to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for medical treatment.
Authorities have not provided further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
