San Diego Woman Killed in Crash at Route 52 Onramp
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 5, 2022) – Early in the morning on Monday in San Diego, a crash in the Clairmont area killed Andrea Zerlina Salinas. The October 3 crash occurred on the State Route 52 onramp close to Regents Road.
The time was roughly 8:49 a.m., San Diego Police said.
Salinas had been traveling in a Hyundai Elantra and heading north as she entered the Route 52 onramp, reports say.
Authorities allege a driver in a Toyota Camry did not stop at the intersection.
The Toyota collided with the Hyundai.
Responders pronounced the driver of the Hyundai deceased at the crash site. She was later identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner as Salinas.
Salinas was a resident of San Diego, 39 years old.
Responders transported the person who was driving the Toyota to a local hospital.
He suffered injuries that were described as serious.
He was identified only as 45 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their process to collect details about the crash. If anyone has information about the incident, the person can call police.
