Alberto Hernandez Killed In Crash Involving Trash Truck on Soledad Canyon Road

Fatal Crash In Canyon Country Claims Young Man

Canyon Country, CA (August 9, 2024) – A tragic accident on Soledad Canyon Road near Galeton Avenue claimed the life of 21-year-old Alberto Hernandez on Friday morning. The Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that the fatal collision occurred around 7:59 a.m. when a Honda sedan, carrying Alberto Hernandez and another unidentified occupant, collided with a Burrtec trash truck under unclear circumstances.

Alberto Hernandez Was Pronounced Dead At The Scene

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found the Honda partially wedged beneath the garbage truck, with two occupants possibly trapped inside. Paramedics rushed one person to a nearby hospital, where their condition remains unknown. Sadly, Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials have not yet determined the cause of the accident, and it is unclear if distracted driving, speeding, or impairment played a role. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has information to contact local traffic investigators.
