Multi-vehicle Collision on 14 Freeway in Acton Injures Five People
ACTON, CA (April 10, 2019) – Five people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on the 14 Freeway in Acton Tuesday morning. The April 9 accident occurred in the freeway’s southbound lanes, near Crown Valley Road.
The time was roughly a little before 9:15 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports say a propane truck, a car, and a camper were among the vehicles involved in the collision. The propane truck and the camper rolled over when the crash occurred. Respondents arrived and worked to rescue five people who were trapped in the camper.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, five people who had been traveling in the camper were injured, with four of the victims being transported to hospitals for treatment. Among the victims was a mother and a child who were reported to have been critically injured. The types of injuries they suffered and their current condition is not known from reports.
