Car Crashes into Long Beach Pizzaria on Willow Street in Long Beach Injuring Driver and 2 Passengers
LONG BEACH, CA (March 21, 2023) – On Saturday evening, a car accident at the intersection of Willow Street and Chestnut Avenue in Long Beach resulted in injuries to three individuals.
Authorities reported on Sunday that a car had crashed into the side of a pizza restaurant in Long Beach, resulting in at least one person being hospitalized.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the crash occurred at around 8:50 p.m. on Saturday at Buono’s Pizzeria located in the 400 block of West Willow Street.
As per the report, the crash occurred as a result of a collision between two cars, which caused one of the drivers to lose control of their vehicle and hit the restaurant.
As reported by the Long Beach Press Telegram, the crash caused a large hole in the side of the eatery located at the intersection of Willow Street and Chestnut Avenue.
The newspaper also stated that as per the Long Beach Fire Department, multiple individuals were inside a gray sedan at the time of the crash and were treated for minor injuries before being released. The person who was hospitalized, however, was inside the restaurant when the sedan collided with the building.
To evaluate the extent of the damage to the structure, Building and Safety Inspectors have been summoned to the business.
The investigation is ongoing, and the precise cause of the crash and the contributing factors are yet to be determined.
It is crucial to avoid distractions while driving that may lead to potentially hazardous collisions. Ensure that you regularly check your blind spots and pay close attention to turn signals. By following safe driving practices, you can play your part in maintaining your safety and that of those around you.
If You are in a Car Accident What Should You Do?
If you are in a car accident, it is important to remain calm and take the following steps:
- Check for injuries: Make sure you and any passengers in your vehicle are not injured. If anyone is injured, call 911 or your local emergency number for medical assistance.
- Move to a safe location: If the accident is minor and all parties are able to do so, move your vehicles to a safe location off the road. If the accident is more serious or anyone is injured, do not move the vehicles.
- Call the police: Even if the accident is minor, it is important to call the police so that they can document the accident and investigate the cause.
- Exchange information: Exchange insurance and contact information with the other driver(s) involved in the accident.
- Document the accident: Take photos of the accident scene, including any damage to the vehicles and the surrounding area. It is also helpful to get the names and contact information of any witnesses.
- Report the accident to your insurance company: You will need to report the accident to your insurance company as soon as possible.
- Seek medical attention: If you were injured in the accident, seek medical attention as soon as possible. Even if you do not feel injured at the time of the accident, it is still a good idea to get checked out by a medical professional.
Remember, it is important to stay calm and not admit fault for the accident until all the facts have been gathered.
