North Hills Crash Leaves 1 Killed and 2 in Critical Condition

Authorities are investigating a fatal roll-over collision that left 1 person dead after they were ejected from the vehicle and 2 others in critical condition in North Hills Friday afternoon, April 20th. According to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Tony Im, the crash was reported to dispatchers around 3:00 p.m. with several people reporting a vehicle that had crashed into multiple parked vehicles and then rolled over coming to a rest in front of a house located at 16222 Plummer Street. The Los Angeles Fire Department was the first to arrive at the scene and reported 3 injured people including 1 person who was believed to have been ejected from the vehicle during the roll-over.
Witnesses said the black vehicle was traveling on Plummer Street when the black vehicle sideswiped 2 parked cars before rolling-over and coming to a rest on its roof. The driver, described as a man, along with a passenger of that black overturned vehicle, were transported to a local hospital where they were treated for severe injuries and remain in critical condition according to medical staff. A female passenger, who was believed to be in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, was ejected from the black vehicle during its roll over. She was discovered lying in the roadway. She was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. The 4th passenger was treated for minor injuries at the scene. Investigators are trying to piece together the initial cause of the accident, LAPD Officer Drake Madison said. Officer Madison continued, “We do not know yet if alcohol or drugs played a factor in this accident, and we have not ruled out excessive speeding, but we will wait for toxicology reports from the hospital before any charges are filed”.
