Police Chase Captures Modern-Day Robin Hoods

A high-speed police chase turned into a chaotic scene when the suspect started to throw money out of the window. As the police tried to catch the driver, hundreds of people rushed towards the streets trying to snatch a few scattered bills. The scene looked straight out of a movie scene. Authority figures tried to gain control of the situation in South Los Angeles but the public wanted the free money thrown at them. On that Wednesday afternoon, September 12 wads of money and a police chase caused a brief hectic scenario.
Seen as modern-day Robin Hood figures, a few alleged bank robbers were stealing money from the rich and tossing it to the poor. A group of male individuals robbed a bank on Wednesday afternoon then fled from police officers when they arrived at the scene. Hopping into a utility vehicle, the men took off down the road, causing a car chase which ended when a pickup blocked the vehicle’s path. It was only then that the men chose to surrender and give up the lengthy chase. But this was only after they instigated a chaotic scene on Los Angeles streets.
Upon reached the dead end of their path, the gang of robbers were surrounded by deputies who had their guns drawn out. They pulled out two men from the S.U.V. Crowds of people surrounded the scene, causing extra police men to come to the scene and push the crowd back. Perhaps the people wanted a glimpse at their modern-day Robin Hood.
While trying to outrun the cops, the robbers threw money out the window in hopes that it would cause a large public commotion and prevent the police from chasing them. And it almost did work. Crowds of people took that opportunity to jump into the street and scoop up scattered money. However, some people felt compelled to return the money they picked up back to the bank. Others jumped at the opportunity and pocketed as much cash as they could. Some even began chanting “We want money” as they dodged cars on the road.
Luckily nobody was seriously injured at the scene. It was extremely fortunate that no one attained personal injury and no car accidents occurred. This kind of reckless and hectic scenario can cause many unwanted harm to the innocent public.
