One Killed, One Seriously Injured in Head-On Collision Near Reedley
REEDLEY, CA (June 5, 2025) — A man was killed and a woman critically injured in a head-on crash early Thursday morning near the intersection of American and Buttonwillow avenues in rural Fresno County, just north of Reedley.
The collision occurred around 7 a.m. on June 5, according to the California Highway Patrol. Investigators say a woman driving a silver Toyota Prius westbound on American Avenue reportedly pulled into the path of a northbound vehicle on Buttonwillow Avenue. The impact caused major front-end damage to both vehicles.
Woman Driving Prius Had To Be Air Lifted To Hospital In Fresno
Paramedics pronounced the male driver of the white sedan dead at the scene. The woman driving the Prius sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
CHP officers are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
