Early Morning Collision On Bear Valley Road Ends With Pedestrian Dead
VICTORVILLE, CA (April 19, 2025) — William Castro Vargas, a 32-year-old Victorville man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident early Saturday morning, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:56 a.m. near Bear Valley Road and Mesa View Drive. Deputies responding to the scene discovered the pedestrian, identified as William Vargas, unresponsive. Vargas was pronounced dead at the scene.
Driver Involved In The Incident That Killed William Castro Vargas Is Unknown at this Time
Authorities have not yet released information regarding the driver or vehicle involved in the collision. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and officials have not determined whether factors such as speed, alcohol, or distracted driving contributed to the incident.
The Sheriff’s Department’s Victorville Station is leading the investigation. Anyone with information related to the crash that killed Vargas is urged to contact the station.
Bear Valley Road was temporarily closed overnight while deputies conducted their investigation.
