91 Freeway Shut Down After Fiery Multi-Vehicle Crash Kills 3
Anaheim, CA (February 26, 2025) – A tragic multi-vehicle collision on the 91 Freeway early Wednesday morning claimed the lives of three people, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash occurred on February 26 around 1:00 a.m. near the Coal Canyon Road off-ramp. Authorities reported that an Infiniti sedan came to a stop in the No. 2 Lane for unknown reasons, prompting a Honda to halt behind it. Moments later, a Hyundai struck the rear of the Honda, causing it to catch fire. A Toyota was also involved in the crash.
All 3 Occupants of the Honda Were Pronounced Dead At The Scene
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced all three occupants of the Honda dead. Officials have not yet released their identities, pending notification of their families.
Following the collision, a SigAlert was issued, shutting down all lanes of the 91 Freeway to allow for an investigation and cleanup.
The CHP is actively investigating the circumstances of the fatal accident. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward as they work to determine the cause of the deadly crash.
