Baldwin Park Multi-Vehicle Collision on 10 Freeway Kills Pedestrian Walking On Freeway
BALDWIN PARK, CA (February 4, 2025) – A 24-year-old man was struck and killed by multiple vehicles early Tuesday morning while walking along the 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the fatal crash occurred around 2:09 a.m. on the eastbound 10 Freeway at the 605 Freeway connector. Officers said the pedestrian, identified as Sonny Provencio, was walking on the freeway when he was hit by several vehicles.
Sonny Provencio Was Found Laying in The 1st and 2nd Lanes of The Freeway
When emergency responders arrived, they found Provencio in the first and second lanes of the connector road. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner.

It was not immediately clear if the drivers involved remained at the scene or if drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
