Driver Arrested After Fleeing Crashed Pickup Truck in Visalia
VISALIA, CA (January 24, 2025) – Alfredo Rodriguez-Zavala, a 23-year-old man, was taken into custody after crashing a pickup truck into a home in Visalia on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
According to the Visalia Police Department, the incident occurred on January 24 at approximately 2:20 p.m. when a blue pickup truck veered off the road and slammed into a residence on the 1700 block of West Tulare Avenue.
Alfredo Rodriguez-Zavala Was Later Located and Arrested For Fleeing An Accident Scene
The crash caused significant damage to the property, including a destroyed garage door, a crumbling brick wall, and damage to a tree and a window.
Following the collision, the truck’s occupants fled the scene. However, officers later located and arrested the driver, identified as Alfredo Rodriguez-Zavala.
Alfredo Rodriguez-Zavala Faces Multiple Charges
Rodriguez-Zavala faces multiple charges, including hit-and-run, driving without a license, and a misdemeanor warrant. He is expected to be booked at the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.
