One Dead, Three Injured in High-Speed Crash Involving Transit Bus in Pomona
Pomona, CA (January 21, 2025) – A high-speed crash at the intersection of West Monterey Avenue and North Garey Avenue on Tuesday night left one person dead and three others injured, according to the Pomona Police Department.
The collision occurred around 9:52 p.m. on January 21. Authorities reported that a silver, four-door sedan traveling at a high rate of speed rear-ended a Foothill Transit bus stopped at a red light on its route to the Foothill Transit Center.
The Victim Was Pronounced Dead At The Scene
The impact of the crash resulted in fatal injuries to one individual, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
Three passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment by paramedics.
