Hit-and-Run Crash in Downtown Los Angeles Leaves 31 Year Old Male Pedestrian Dead
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 1, 2025) — A tragic hit-and-run incident claimed the life of a pedestrian early Wednesday morning, January 1, in downtown Los Angeles. The victim, identified as 31-year-old Ramoncito Formoso, was fatally struck on Wilshire Boulevard near the 110 freeway around 5:20 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Authorities reported that Formoso was walking from the right shoulder of the northbound freeway to the center divider when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle. The impact caused fatal injuries, and Formoso was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner confirmed his age but noted that his city of residence remains unknown.
Ramoncito Formoso Was Wearing Underwear But No Pants When Killed
In a puzzling detail, investigators revealed that Formoso was wearing underwear but no pants at the time of the incident. The driver involved fled the scene without stopping to render aid, leaving authorities searching for leads in the ongoing investigation.
CHP is urging anyone with information about the crash or the driver to come forward. The hit-and-run remains under active investigation as authorities work to uncover the circumstances surrounding the fatality.
