Suspect Arrested In High-Speed Chase That Killed 25 Year Old Woman
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (December 2, 2024) – A high-speed police chase ended in tragedy Monday night when a suspect identified as 43-year-old Timothy Bradford Cole of Huntington Beach fled law enforcement causing a fatal collision at the intersection of Ellis Avenue and Magnolia Street.
The Fountain Valley Police Department reported that the incident began just before 10:00 p.m. as officers pursued Cole who was wanted in connection with a domestic violence and arson investigation. Officers spotted the Cole’s white Dodge Ram pickup truck near the 17900 block of Brookhurst Street, sparking a brief but dangerous pursuit lasting less than a minute and covering less than a mile.
Timothy Bradford Cole Ran A Red Light During The Pursuit And Collided With A BMW X3
The chase took a deadly turn when the Dodge Ram ran a red light and collided with a white BMW X3. The violent impact left three occupants of the BMW with severe injuries. Tragically, a 25-year-old woman from Huntington Beach succumbed to her injuries. Authorities have not released her identity.
The two other passengers in the BMW were rushed to a trauma center in Long Beach, where they remain in critical and stable condition.
Timothy Bradford Cole Is An Alleged White Supremacist Gang Member
Timothy Bradford Cole, an alleged white supremacist gang member, also sustained serious injuries in the crash. Despite his condition, officers arrested him at the scene without further incident.
Timothy Bradford Cole II, was charged Thursday with one count of murder, evading a peace officer causing death, two felony counts of evading a peace officer causing serious injury, one count of arson of an inhabited structure and one felony enhancement of arson with use of an acceleration device.
The Fountain Valley Police Department continues to investigate the fatal collision.
