Driver Loses Control of BMW In Fatal Car Accident in Santa Clarita
SANTA CLARITA, CA (August 31, 2024) – A fatal car accident occurred early Saturday morning when a vehicle crashed into a tree at the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and Spunky Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash took place around 2:20 a.m. when, for reasons still unknown, the driver lost control of a gray two-door BMW and collided with a tree. CHP officers responded to reports of the crash and found one person on the road with fatal injuries. Another person was transported to a hospital by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel; their condition is currently unknown.
Authorities Closed The Road Until The Early Morning Hours To Work On Clearing The Scene
The crash prompted authorities to close the road until 5:37 a.m. while they conducted their investigation.
Officials have not yet identified the deceased victim or determined the cause of the accident. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to understand the circumstances that led to the crash.
