Fresno, CA (August 5, 2024) — A two-vehicle collision on Blackstone Avenue near Herndon Avenue resulted in injuries to one driver on Monday afternoon. The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. when, for reasons still under investigation, a sedan rear-ended a Fresno Area Express (FAX) bus at the intersection.
Car That Hit Bus Attempted To Flee The Scene On Foot
Following the crash, the sedan driver attempted to flee the scene on foot but was quickly apprehended by Fresno Police officers. Authorities evaluated the driver for potential DUI.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the bus driver to a local hospital, where they were treated for pain-related injuries. Fortunately, there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the incident.
