Fatal Pedestrian Accident Claims Life of Man in Oceanside
Oceanside, CA (August 5, 2024) — A tragic pedestrian accident at the intersection of Rancho Del Oro Drive and Via Rancho Road resulted in the death of Henry Broncy. The incident occurred around 7:31 a.m. on Monday, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
Henry Broncy Was Struck By A 46 Year Old Oceanside Resident
Under unclear circumstances, a 46-year-old Oceanside resident struck 83-year-old Henry Broncy, also of Oceanside, outside a marked pedestrian crosswalk. Emergency responders from the Oceanside Police and paramedics quickly arrived at the scene, rushing Henry Broncy to a nearby hospital. Sadly, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries approximately a week later.
The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and cooperated fully with the authorities. No arrests or citations have been made, and the police continue to investigate the factors that led to this tragic incident.
