Woman Killed After Car Crashes in Garden Grove Residence
Garden Grove, CA (May 12, 2024) – Janet Carrillo, 40, lost her life in a devastating DUI hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning on May 12. The incident occurred around 1:55 a.m. in the 11800 block of Magnolia Street.
35 Year Old Riverside Man Crashed Into Residence With Janet Carrillo Inside
According to the Garden Grove Police Department, the crash involved a 2019 Toyota Camry driven by a 35-year-old man from Riverside. The vehicle collided with a residence, where Janet Carrillo was inside. She was struck by the car and tragically trapped in the wreckage, succumbing to her injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Camry fled the scene, prompting a search by law enforcement. The suspect was later located and taken into custody by police. Alcohol and/or drugs are suspected to have played a role in the crash, though investigations are ongoing.
