51-Year-Old Westminster Women Dead in Motorcycle Crash on Ironage Road In Twentynine Palms
Twentynine Palms, CA (March 22, 2024) – Authorities have identified 51-year-old Terry Houlston-Reid, a resident of Westminster, as the woman who tragically lost her life in a motorcycle accident on Highway 62 last Friday evening.
The incident occurred on March 22 around 7:30 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), an eastbound Harley Davidson, driven by 62-year-old Ronald Mitchell, reportedly lost control on a curved section of the road near Ironage Road.
The motorcycle then overturned, coming to a rest in the right shoulder of the road near Sheephole Valley Wilderness. The impact of the crash ejected Terry Houlston-Reid, who was the passenger on the motorcycle.
Both Riders Were Transported To Hi-Desert Medical Center
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and transported both Mitchell and Terry Houlston-Reid to Hi-Desert Medical Center. Tragically, Terry Houlston-Reid was later pronounced dead, while Mitchell received treatment for minor injuries.
CHP is actively investigating the cause of the fatal accident. Investigators have confirmed that both riders were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
