Los Angeles, CA (February 13, 2024) – A tragic hit-and-run incident on Beloit Avenue near Missouri Avenue in Los Angeles has resulted in the death of a male pedestrian. The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, leaving authorities and the community in shock.
Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Beloit Avenue near Missouri Avenue
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), a northbound dark-colored vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was walking in the same direction, for reasons that are currently unknown. Instead of stopping to assist the victim, the driver callously made a U-turn and fled southbound on Beloit Avenue, leaving the pedestrian severely injured.
LAFD In West LA Tried To Get The Victim To The Hospital But It Was Too Late
Following the collision, paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department swiftly arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries. Officials are withholding his identity pending notification of his family.
In an effort to bring the perpetrator to justice, LAPD’s West LA Traffic Division is seeking the public’s assistance. Anyone who witnessed the hit-and-run or has information that could help identify the suspect is urged to contact the LAPD at 213-473-0234.
