6 People Hospitalized in Multi-Car Crash on 101 Freeway
Santa Barbara, CA (September 12, 2023) – A multi-car accident on Highway 101 near Carrillo Street left six individuals with various injuries on Tuesday, prompting an emergency response from the Santa Barbara City Fire Department.
At Least 3 Vehicles Collided After Midnight on Highway 101 near Carrillo Street
The incident unfolded shortly after midnight, shrouded in uncertainty as at least three vehicles collided in the southbound lane, just south of the Carrillo Street off-ramp.
Swiftly responding to the scene, firefighter-paramedics engaged in the extrication of occupants from two of the involved vehicles. Subsequently, three ambulances were dispatched to transport six patients, one of whom suffered serious injuries, to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
