Pileup on 110 Freeway involves 10 or More Vehicles in South Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 14, 2022) – Early in the morning on Monday in South Los Angeles, ten or more vehicles crashed in a pileup on the 110 Freeway. The November 14 crash occurred close to the 105 Freeway, on the southbound side of the roadway in the area of Vermont Vista.
The time was roughly a little after 6:00 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports say that according to a witness, a vehicle hit a motorcycle, and the motorcycle crashed in the express lanes of the freeway.
The vehicle that struck the motorcyclist has not been described, and reports describe the initial crash has a hit-and-run.
The California Highway Patrol said 10 or more vehicles crashed in the pileup. None of the vehicles have been described.
It is not yet known what types of injuries the rider suffered.
Reports do not yet say how many people were involved in the crash, nor the number of people who may have been injured.
No one involved in the crash has been identified.
Investigators are gathering information to understand the crash, the sequence that affected each vehicle, and to locate the suspect hit-and-run driver involved in the initial collision.
