Fiery Crash at Avalon and Lomita Kills Two In Wilmington, CA
WILMINGTON, CA (September 23, 2022) – On Thursday night in Wilmington, two vehicles crashed and one caught fire, killing two people. The September 22 crash occurred where Lomita Boulevard and Avalon Boulevard intersect.
The time was roughly 8:15 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
No details have been reported on how the crash happened, nor what line of travel each vehicle had been taking prior to the crash.
The vehicles have not been described.
Responders found one of the vehicles had burned, but the fire was put out before responders came on scene.
Responders worked to extricate a person from the wreckage.
Two people were reported to have died at the crash site.
The identities of the two people–including their names, ages, genders, and cities of residence–have not been reported.
