Eight Vehicles Crash on 105 Freeway in South Los Angeles; 1 Killed, Six Injured
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 22, 2022) – Early in the morning on Thursday in South Los Angeles, eight vehicles crashed on the 105 Freeway, killing one person and injuring six others. The September 22 crash occurred on the eastbound side of the freeway, close to where the interchange for the 110 Freeway is located.
The time was roughly 7:30 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
No details have been reported on how the crash happened, what initiated the crash, nor the sequence in which each vehicle crashed.
The vehicles have not been described.
Reports do not say what vehicle the person who was killed had been traveling in.
The identity of the victim–including name, age, gender, and city of residence–has not been reported.
Responders found a person trapped between two vehicles, and it is not known if the person had been ejected when the crash happened.
Responders transported the patient to a hospital. The patient’s condition was described as critical.
The identity of the patient is not known.
No one involved in the crash has been identified, nor have the injuries of each patient been described.
