Woodland Hills Head-on Crash Kills Two near Pierce College
WOODLAND HILLS, CA (August 23, 2022) – Late at night on Monday in Woodland Hills, a head-on crash killed two people close to Pierce College. The August 29 crash occurred on Victory Boulevard close to where it intersects with Mason Avenue.
The time was roughly 11:30 p.m., Los Angeles Police said.
The vehicles–described as a Chevrolet SUV and a sedan, white in color–collided. According to authorities, one of the vehicles–which had been heading east on Victory Boulevard–went into the lane of opposing traffic.
The SUV and sedan collided head on.
It is not clear from reports which vehicle went into the lane of opposing traffic.
Responders arrived and worked to extricate people from the wreckage.
Responders pronounced one person deceased at the crash site. He was identified only as roughly 20 to 30 years of age.
His name and city of residence have not been reported.
Responders transported the other driver to a hospital in the area. He was pronounced deceased in the hospital.
He was identified only as roughly 25 to 30 years of age. His name and city of residence have also not been reported.
Investigators are at work to understand why the crash happened, and they are in the process of collecting information and details.
