Three Injured in Downtown Los Angeles Crash during Police Pursuit
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 27, 2022) – A police pursuit late in the afternoon on Monday in downtown Los Angeles ended in a crash that sent three people to the hospital. The April 25 crash occurred at 1060 S. Main Street.
The time was roughly 4:42 p.m., Margaret Stewart said. Stewart is a spokesperson with the Los Angeles Fire Department.
No details have been reported on what vehicle the police were pursuing, or the reason for the pursuit. The crash has not been described, nor has the civilian vehicle.
Responders arrived and found three people were hurt in the crash. Two of the patients were police officers; they have not been identified.
One patient was a civilian, who has also not been identified.
Reports do not detail the types of injuries suffered by each person, but describe the injuries as not life threatening.
Responders transported the three to the hospital. Their current conditions are not known.
Two other people were reported to have been hurt in the crash; they declined treatment. The two people have also not been identified.
Investigators are continuing their work on the crash.
