Erin Marlow was a resident of Hemet, 30 years old.
Sol Mitchell-Hall was a resident of Palmdale, 21 years old.
The crash occurred on the 91 Freeway in the eastbound lanes, close to Atlantic Avenue.

People who witnessed the incident reported a wrong-way vehicle–described as a Honda–going at a fast speed on the eastbound side of the freeway, in the vicinity of Beach Boulevard and State College Boulevard.
Not long after authorities received the reports from callers, a head-on crash occurred in the HOV lane of the 91 Freeway. The Honda, which had been traveling the wrong way, collided with a vehicle–described as a Chrysler.
A vehicle, which has not been described, was also damaged on the freeway, not far from the head-on crash. It is not clear how the vehicle was involved.
