Hit-and-run Crash on Lankershim Blvd. in Los Angeles’ Sun Valley Kills Man
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 19, 2021) – Early in the evening on Wednesday in Los Angeles, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed a man. The March 18 incident occurred in the neighborhood of Sun Valley, on Lankershim Boulevard at Stagg Street.
The time was roughly a little before 7:00 p.m., Los Angeles Police said.
The pedestrian had been walking in a crosswalk when a vehicle–described as a BMW sedan, silver or white in color–which was heading north on Lankershim Boulevard, struck him. The person driving did not help the victim or stay at the scene, but fled the area.
Responders arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the crash site. His identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
Investigators are searching for the vehicle, and the suspect driver, who has not been described. If anyone has information about the crash, the person can call Officer Martinez. The number is 818-644-8022.
