Car Crashes off Pacific Coast Highway and Lands on Topanga Beach, Injuring Driver
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 5, 2021) – Early on Thursday night, a car crashed and went off of Pacific Coast Highway, landing on Topanga Beach in western Los Angeles County. The March 4 incident occurred where Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway intersect.
The time was roughly a little before 8:30 p.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
A vehicle–described as a Chevrolet Camaro–struck a truck that had been parked, reports say, and the impact of the crash sent the Camaro onto the beach. The Camaro ended up on a bluff and in bushes.
Responders transported the driver to the hospital. He suffered injuries that were described as minor. His identity has not been reported.
Reports say a vehicle–described as a Ford SUV–had significant damage in the rear. It is not clear if this was the vehicle that was struck.
The owner of the vehicle that was struck has not been identified in reports.
Investigators are working to find the cause of the crash. They are collecting information.
