Man Killed, Two Other People Injured in Garden Grove Crash
GARDEN GROVE, CA (February 17, 2021) – On Monday night in Garden Grove, a two-vehicle crash killed Daniel Delgado and injured two other people. The February 15 incident occurred on West Street in an area to the south of Dunklee Lane, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.
Two vehicles–described as a Chevrolet Corvette and a Buick–collided. Reports say that according to police, the Corvette traveled into oncoming traffic, and collided broadside with the Buick.
According to Jose Perez, who is with the Orange County Fire Authority, responders had to work to free two people from the wreckage of the Corvette.
Responders transported two people from the Corvette, and one person from the Buick to UC Irvine Medical Center.
A passenger who had been traveling in the Corvette was pronounced deceased. He was identified by family as Daniel Delgado, 22 years old.
Two people who suffered injuries that were described as critical are hospitalized. Their current condition is not known. Their identities have not been reported.
Neither driver of the vehicles that collided have been identified.
