Hit-and-run Crash on Lankershim Blvd. in Toluca Lake Kills Elderly Woman
TOLUCA LAKE, CA (December 29, 2020) – Late in the afternoon on Monday in Toluca Lake, an elderly woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver. The December 28 incident occurred on Lankershim Boulevard, close to Valley Village and Studio City.
The time was roughly 5:40 p.m., Los Angeles Police said.
The victim had been crossing Lankershim Boulevard on foot within a crosswalk that is marked. A vehicle–described only as a sedan with four doors–made a turn from Moorpark Street to Lankershim, and struck the woman.
The person driving did not help the victim, but fled the crash site.
Responders arrived and took the victim to the hospital. She died in the hospital.
She was identified only as 85 years old. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
