San Luis Obispo Crash on Highway 101 Kills Pedestrian
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (December 4, 2020) – Early in the morning on Thursday in San Luis Obispo, a pedestrian was struck and killed. The December 3 incident occurred on Highway 101, close to where Prado Road is located.
The time was roughly 6:15 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Responders arrived on scene and found a person down on the roadway in the fast lane. According to reports, the person had been struck by a vehicle.
The manner in which the collision occurred has not been described, nor has the vehicle.
The identity of the victim, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The identity of the driver involved in the crash has also not been reported. It is not known if any passengers had been traveling in the vehicle.
Investigators are working to understand why the crash occurred, and what factors and circumstances were involved.
